Colleges and Universities
Okaloosa-Walton Community College 100 College Blvd. Niceville, FL 32578 Tel: (850) 729-6922 OWCC is an accredited, public institution which offers Associate degrees in more than 80 academic and technical disciplines. The college's six full-time campuses and centers offer day and evening classes for college-credit, non-credit, college and vocational preparation, GED preparation and retirement learning. OWCC offers nine terms per year and distance learning is available. Adult basic education is free of charge to any adult with out a high school diploma. High school students who meet certain requirements may take college-credit courses free of charge through the Dual Enrolment Program. OWCC operates the regional Criminal Justice Training Center and offers the Child Development Credential which certifies child care workers. On the Niceville campus, the new fine and performing Arts Center provides the finest in instructional programs for students of the arts and serves as a public center for the enjoyment of the visual, musical and theatrical arts.

Classes are taught primarily during the evening hours with some lunchtime classes being held for the undergraduate program. Classrooms are conveniently located at various military host installations and off-base locations. TSU Florida Region offers some unique an innovative programs to the community, one of which is the Free Tuition Option for the undergraduate degree program. This is only available to students attending the Hurlburt, Eglin, Pensacola, Whiting Field, and Tyndall locations. Another popular program available is the Intensive Weekend Concept. Available to all students at all Florida Region locations except Eglin. The Florida Region of Troy State University is the second largest extension campus of the Troy State University system which includes more than sixty sites around the world.
University of West Florida 11000 University Parkway, Pensacola, Florida 32514 Tel: (850) 474-2000 UWF offers individuals numerous graduate and undergraduate degree programs. Evening courses are available to accommodate working students. The main campus is located in Pensacola. UWF offers junior, senior and graduate-level courses at two joint UWF/Okaloosa-Walton Community College locations through its in-district program with OWCC. All UWF graduate and undergraduate programs are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
