Air Force Armament Museum
SR 85, outside Eglin Air Force Base west gate, Fort Walton Beach, Florida Tel: (850) 882-4062 The museum includes an exhibit of restored aircraft from World War II through the Vietnam War, well-known Air Force planes and the armament collection. The only facility in the U.S. dedicated to display Air Force armament. The SR-71 Blackbird, the B-52, the F-15, and a Russian MIG-21 are among the main attractions displayed at this museum. The museum is open seven days a week, except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year. Admission is free.
Camp Walton Schoolhouse Museum The original one-room schoolhouse was used from 1912-1936. It has been restored and moved to its present location where it is maintained by the city. Tel: (850) 833-9596
Destin Fishing Museum The legacy and heritage of generations of Destin fishermen comes alive through numerous displays. Features include dry aquarium, workshop room, memorabilia room, rodeo fishing room, and gift shop.
Eglin Reservation This 464,000 acre reservation is available for hunting, fishing, camping and other recreational activities.

Gulfarium US98, Fort Walton Beach, Florida Tel: (850) 244-5169 The Gulfarium is a wonderful place for children and adults to learn about marine live. A main feature of the Gulfarium is the "Living Sea" where marine animals can be seen in their natural habitats . The Living Sea has sharks, eels, sting rays, and other sea life. The Gulfarium also contains porpoises, otters, sea lions, penguins, birds, seals and alligators. The Gulfarium features four live marine shows, the Dolphin Show, the Living Sea, a Sea Lion Show and a Multi-Species Show. They also offer a dolphin interaction program which provides a close up personal encounter with two of their star dolphins, Kiwi and Daphne.
Historical Society Museum 115 Westview Avenue, Valparaiso, Florida Tel: (850) 678-2615 The museum focuses on the local area during the period of the 1800s to the 1930s. Exhibits include an old cotton gin, farm tools, furnishings, kitchen equipment and a 1920s stove.

Museum of the Sea and Indian Serving Okaloosa and Walton Counties and the surrounding areas since 1959, the museums offer a wide array of exhibits that depict the history of Native Americans from both North and South America. Okaloosa Island Fishing Pier Okaloosa Island, Fort Walton Beach, Florida A giant fishing pier of 1,261 feet. Lighted for nighttime fishing. Rod holders and benches are built onto the pier. Also includes a fish cleaning area.
The Emerald Coast Science Museum The Emerald Coast Science Museum offers "hands on" encounters with the worlds of science and technology. Sasquatch Zoo Wolves, lions, tigers, bears and a barrel of monkeys! Just minutes east of Crestview on Highway 90. Sasquatch Zoo provides an educational enjoyable visit with exotic animals from many parts of the world. The zoo has over 250 animals representing over 50 different species from over 30 different countries. Many of our animals may be hand fed and petted.
